We kicked off our NYC vacation with a stay at the Renaissance Hotel at the Edmonton International Airport! With an early morning flight ahead of us, it was great to be able to wake up and already be at the airport, especially when travelling with kids. Our experience was fantastic and we would definitely stay at the hotel on the way out of town again!

We were all starving when we arrived so we headed to Halo Bar and Bistro located in the lobby of the hotel. They had a great kids menu with lots of options including grilled cheese, sliders, spaghetti and meatballs and chicken noodle soup!

The big kids (Denny and I) noshed on some appetizers for dinner. We tried the nachos, parm chicken bites and the perogies. Wednesday happens to be 1/2 price wine night so my husband was happy! Everything we tried we enjoyed, we love appys for dinner and they had a great selection to choose from.

The kids were so excited that they had a pool in the hotel and they could not wait to dive right in! The pool area has a hot tub and lots of lounge chairs for guests to enjoy. The fitness centre was well equipped and overlooked the pool area.

After some pool time we headed to our room and we were spoiled with truffles and wine from the management team. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind before our long day of travel we had coming up.

We stayed in the suite and we couldn’t believe how huge the room was! It included plenty of seating room, a family room, a large bathroom with over sized shower and a kitchen area with a fridge. It was a comfortable and welcoming room with lots of space for our family of 4. The children enjoyed having their own tv area and we liked that we could watch our own tv shows too!

The hotel suite had the best Instagrammable wall in the bathroom. It’s like this room was made for me! Not only was the wall great but so was the lighting, that’s a win win!

Thank you to the management team at the Renaissance Hotel for inviting our family and for the warm welcome we received. Views expressed are my own based on our time spent at the hotel. #partner
