I can’t believe we will have a 7 year old soon! The birthday girl requested a unicorn party this year, the perfect theme for a little girls party! I was on the hunt for all things unicorn and thanks to some great social media peeps I found everything I was looking for and more!
She had her heart set on a certain style of unicorn cake, so I called our friends over at Crave Cupcakes to help make it happen! This beautiful 6″ cake was confetti flavored with loads of delicious icing as per her request. They are hands down our favorite bakery in Edmonton and the cake was amazing!
The unicorn balloons were delivered by Balloon Source on the morning of the party. This is such a time saver for busy parents! No waiting in line at the party store, they are delivered right to your door step! We requested unicorn balloons and they dropped off a great variety of rainbow colored balloons for the party.
We are not big on loot bags, we’ve never given one out for our kids parties. We prefer to send them home with one larger item that goes with the theme of the party. I searched for weeks and FINALLY found the perfect take home gift for the kids at the party! These unicorn water bottles were an amazing find at Chapters and we filled them with unicorn candies!
We kept it simple this year and had the party at home. She requested a dance party which made it easy to plan! We had all her favorite songs playing and organized some fun games like freeze dance, pass the unicorn and the famous Smarties game that our kids always ask us for!
The decorations and unicorn headbands for the kids were a great score from Target! Yes I’m “that” person who brings party supplies home in her suitcase….. but they always have the cutest stuff at that store! They matched her party dress from Joah Love perfectly, I mean how could I not! I also found some adorable wrapping paper at Home Sense that made for the perfect photo backdrop.
A big thank you to all of her friends that came out to celebrate early with her this year! She is officially 7 on August 3rd!
Renovations are not easy. I would prefer the Sambre Sconces for the lights.
