Cold winter days find me spending more time in the kitchen. I like to plan ahead and get busy making things that can be frozen for school lunches or after school snacks. The kids LOVE chocolate chip cookies! I’ve tried so many recipes over the years and this one by far has been a favourite in our family!
The ingredients are simplistic and most people already have them at home. This recipe is quick and easy and pretty much fool proof! It’s a great recipe for the kids to help with, especially when they love eating cookie dough.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
In a large mixing bowl cream together:
1 cup butter (room temperature)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Mix in:
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Slowly mix in:
2 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.
Makes up to 3 dozen (depending how much cookie dough is consumed in the baking process)
