It’s the most wonderful time of the year…..and Christmas is just weeks away! I love this time of year, the music, the parties, the food, and most of all the gifts! Shopping can be stressful, so I wanted to share some of my favourite gift ideas this year! I’ve focused on shopping local, here are some of my favourite finds!

Max and Maude

Matching pj’s from Max and Maude are a must for us at Christmas time! I love this tradition every year, especially when it comes to taking photos with the kids! They carry a great selection of patterns and sizes in their Sherwood Park store. These union suits are definitely a favourite in our family but they also have 2 piece options available. The perfect gift for Christmas eve. the kids will look adorable on Christmas Day!

Bliss Yoga Spa

Give the gift of wellness and relaxation this holiday season from Bliss Yoga Spa! I recently experienced Ultra Shape, a non-surgical fat removal procedure that permanently destroys fat cells using ultrasound. It was painless with absolutely no down time and it can be done on your stomach, buttocks, flanks, thighs or arms. It reduces fat up to 24%, and you can do up to 3 treatments per area (min 2 weeks in between). I focused on my “mommy tummy” and have felt results within the first week since treatment. (They do have lifestyle recommendations after treatment: drink plenty of water and maintain healthy food options for optimal results).

*Interested in trying it for yourself? Mention you saw it on my blog or book online with code chattygirl by December 6th to receive 10% off your procedure. Prices vary per area of the body, check with Bliss Yoga Spa for more details.

Cloud Nine Pajamas

There’s nothing better than a cozy pair of pj’s or a robe on Christmas Day! I stopped by Cloud Nine for a little shopping and found the cutest robe! The Minky Cuddle Robe is Cloud Nine’s very own design, made right here in Edmonton by the owners! It’s soft and cuddly and very durable for washing and wearing. They have 4 locations in Edmonton to shop at too!

Bella Maas

I am always chilly, so when I found this Lennox coatigan at Bella Maas Boutique I knew I had to have it! This is the perfect gift to give, it is o/s fits all and comes in different colours including black, grey (pictured) and navy blue. I wear mine all the time to the hockey arena and when I’m out and about with the kids! Available in their St Albert and Sherwood Park locations, just in time for gift giving this holiday season!

YEG Box

Give the gift of local this year with YEG Box! I love this company and how they support local Edmonton businesses through their monthly box program. With a pop up location in Southgate mall this year, they have some great options for those hard to buy friends and family! Choose from the food box, the guy box, the home box, or a sparkle box! Quantities are limited on each one so shop early in store or online too! You can also purchase a subscription for a gift, with different options on delivery too. How fun would it be to receive a monthly box next year filled with local treasures!

Red Ribbon

The letter board is the perfect gift to give from Red Ribbon! Available in a variety of colours and sizes, you can even get extra letter packs to upgrade your messages. We added one to our gallery wall for fun interchangeable messages throughout the year but you can also use them for photography props, pop up store signage, or sharing messages on social media! This style is available in black or grey felt board with an oak wood frame and measures 10×10.

Snow Valley

Every year we ask our family to give us the gift of experience for our children. We love having the opportunity to spend time with them doing something fun like skiing at Snow Valley! Located within Edmonton, it is a quick 5 minute drive for us to get to the hill. They have different options for lift tickets and season passes too. A couple years ago we discovered it and have been going ever since. We’ve put our kids through lessons so we could spend time skiing together throughout the winter. It’s one of our favourite things to do and you will find us there at least once a week!

Modern Sole

What girl doesn’t love shoes! Modern Sole has a location in Windermere and Sherwood Park and they carry a variety of womens shoes and accessories including my favourite Sorels. I picked up a pair of 1964 Premium LTR Boots and have been wearing them daily. They are perfect for my life as a busy mom who is constantly on the go! They are versatile enough to wear while running errands or sledding with the kids, and the best part is they actually keep my feet warm! I love that winter boots have become a fashion staple, they are a must have for our Alberta weather.

Elias and Ella Jewelry

Locally handmade in Edmonton, Elias and Ella Jewelry is available online and at 70+ retail locations. These bracelets are perfect for stacking and they come in a variety of colours and styles. The “Silver Cloud” Matte Stone Bangin’ Bracelet works perfectly with my wardrobe choices which are usually grey or black! I love that it has a little bit of sparkle making it easy to dress up or down and I wear mine almost every day! It’s perfect for a stocking stuffer and it comes with a little cloth bag to store it in.

Ford & Harper

Apparel for proud moms of superstar kids, Ford & Harper offers the cutest sweatshirts that say Hockey Mom on them! You can be the proud mom at the rink, and the best part is how soft and cozy they are! They also have styles for kids including sisters and have recently introduced Soccer Mom sweatshirts too. They offer a few different styles (crewneck pictured) and a variety of sizes.

Fox & Tux

We can’t forget about the pets! Bandit and I went shopping at Fox & Tux to see what we could find him for Christmas. I love that you can bring your dog (on a leash) while you shop! We found lots of local items in store including this adorable bowtie from Darling Dear Co which is made right here in Edmonton! It fastened right on to his collar and he wasn’t bothered by it whatsoever. We also picked up a bandana for him from the Wolfgang shop, a local company from Calgary. He’s all ready for Christmas now!

Happy Shopping!
