We have a very busy life. From being an entrepreneur to raising kids and shuttling them everywhere they need to go, I am always looking for a quick and easy snack for them for lunches or after school. Granola bars are a huge hit at our house and I liked that this recipe  doesn’t need to contain nuts so it works for almost everyone!

Granola Bars:

1 tsp vanilla

2/3 cup soft butter or margarine

1/2 cup honey

1/3 cup brown sugar

Cream these ingredients together. Then add in,

1 cup flour

4 cups quick oats

1 tsp baking soda

1-2 cups chocolate chips (or nuts or raisins)

Mix together. Pour into greased glass pan and bake for 20-22 min at 325 degrees.

Cool and serve
