On November 2nd, 2017 we gathered for the 3rd annual Holiday Mixer in support of the Ronald McDonald House at Reside Furnishings. Through social media, we invited people to mix and mingle with us with food from Workshop Eatery, dessert from Crave Cupcakes and music by Happy Wife Happy Life Entertainment.
Admission to the event was a toy and we set a goal to collect 500 that evening. Thanks to the generosity of Edmontonians we surpassed our goal and collected 602 for the Magic Room at the Ronald McDonald House!
One of the big draws to the event every year is the prizes! We have over 50 to giveaway that night thanks to some amazing local businesses here in Edmonton! With our ultimate prizes we raised over $2000 for the Ronald McDonald House through ticket sales to enter to win. We also had door prizes for those who came to the event and brought a toy.
The support from friends and strangers was amazing! To see that many toys in one room was enough to bring tears to anyone’s eyes.
The next day was even more fun as we got to deliver them to the house! There was lots of smiles that day as we unloaded the truck with our client Reside Furnishings, it was a day I will always remember. It’s been amazing to watch this event grow year after year, and I couldn’t do it without the help of our sponsors.
