Back to school season is upon us, it’s time to get all the shopping done for the big day! This year we are gearing up for grade 2 and grade 5 in our house, I can’t believe how quickly they grow up! Over the years we’ve tried all sorts of products for school, and we have some definite brand favorites at our house! We also found some cool new products this year that I wanted to share with you as well!

Mabels Labels have been a must have for us since preschool! With kids always losing things it has been so helpful to have labels on their items so we can track them down in the classroom and the lost and found bin. Mabels Labels has all sorts of products available, we are using their bag tags and labels this year. My daughter was so excited that they not only had unicorns, but they also had a glitter option as well and my son is loving sharks right now which they also have!

These lunch boxes have a modern vibe which is great for us now that the kids are getting older. My 10 year old son has outgrown the childish patterns so many lunch boxes have so I was excited to find this brand. He is in love with sharks right now so we lucked out that they had a shark lunch bag! It has a removable strap so it can be worn as a messenger bag as well. I like that it is machine washable and it has a removable insert  for keeping it clean.

We are a family that is always on the go so I carry snacks in my bag in case someone gets hungry. Kind Bars have no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors AND they have 25% less sugar than leading granola bars. They offer a variety of flavors that my hubby and I love as well! They are also the perfect snack for school recess or a trip to the park.

Backpacks are a must have for back to school. We went shopping at Westcoast Kids and found these adorable backpacks in a variety of patterns and colors. What makes them so awesome is they are made from recycled water bottles! I love that they have come up with a way to reuse all of those water bottles that end up in the landfill every year. It is durable and build to last the school year as well!

I love when everything matches, so I was so excited to find Ore Originals has matching Good Lunch containers water bottles, lunch bags and more! Their snack containers come in a variety of sizes and their Flip & Sip water bottle comes with a carabiner so you can clip it on your lunch back or back pack. They also have a handy folding utensil set that has a fork and spoon for lunch bags.

My kids are big fans of smoothies, but I don’t always love pulling out the blender when they want one. I started making big batches and freezing them into popsicles thanks to Zoku. Their silicone ice pop molds make it quick and easy for the kids to get them out themselves, no need to run them under hot water! Sometimes I even let them have a popsicle for breakfast! We blend together frozen fruit, yogurt and a small amount of juice making it a healthy treat.

Located in downtown Edmonton, Alligator Pie offers on trend clothing from babies to teens. I love that it is a one stop shop for me for both of my kids as they carry up to size 16. We stopped in for some back to school shopping and to see what was new in store for fall.

They carry a variety of brands we love including Chaser, Ugg, Stella McCartney, Boss and more. My daughter HAD to have this unicorn sweat suit and I loved how it could be dressed up with a little coat and gold sneakers too.

My son is at the age that he has outgrown many kids stores so it’s always great to be able to find pint sized fashions for him as well. We tried jeans, sweats, hoodies, vests and more, they had a great variety in store for boys too!

Moms need back to school fashions too, after all we are at school most days picking them up and dropping them off! I am madly in love with buffalo plaid, so when I saw this coat on Instagram I HAD to have it! This BB Dakota jacket is perfect for fall, it is lightweight and makes a great layering piece. I have a feeling its going to sell out really quick so I grabbed it as soon as I saw it!

We received many of these products in kind in exchange for our review. All opinions are my own from using them first hand at our house. Thank you to all the companies who participated in our back to school messaging. Thank you to Curtis at Artslinger for allowing us to take photos in your space!
