It’s that time of year again, the chill is in the air, the PSL’s are back at Starbucks, and Sweater Season has returned. It’s the time of year when I just want to be warm and cozy, so sweaters are a must for me this season.
The great thing about sweaters is they are always in style for fall. There’s the classic turtleneck, the cardigan, the over sized sweater and the newest edition called the coatigan. I often wear them in place of a jacket at this time of year.
With so many styles to choose from I HAD to go shopping and pick out some new styles for my fall wardrobe. Here are a few of my favorites this season:
Long Striped Cardigan
This long duster length striped cardigan is available online at Vici Collection. It’s the perfect over sized fit and comes in s/m (what I ordered) and m/l. The color is taupe with charcoal and white stripes making it perfect for fall. I cuffed the sleeves for a little extra detail and it also has pockets on the front. The Coatigan
When the coat meets a cardigan sweater you get a Coatigan. This long over sized style is one size fits all and comes in a variety of colors. I picked up the grey and black and wear them almost daily! They are warm, versatile and go with absolutely everything, from jeans and a blouse to a dress with leggings. You can wear it as a coat or a sweater which I love. I wore my grey one so much last year (even through winter), I had to pick up a black one this year as well! Find it at Bella Maas Boutique.
Off the Shoulder
This over sized cotton knit sweater comes in a vintage charcoal grey color and is one size fits all (up to size 10). It can be worn off the shoulder, with a cami or bralette and looks amazing with distressed denim. I was a little hesitant that it only had one size option, but the fit is just perfect. It has side slits and a high low hem which you could also tuck into denim. Find it at Vici Collection.
Star Sweater
I love star print everything so when I spotted this knit sweater at Red Ribbon Boutique I had to have it! It’s lightweight, soft and oh so cozy. It is an over sized fit and comes in a s/m (which I am wearing) or a m/l. The taupe and black star print is on trend for this season too. They carry a line called From Palmer that has a whole bunch of styles of sweaters I love. Be sure to check them all out.
Ribbed Sweater
This is the most versatile sweaters I have ever owned. You can wear it on or off the shoulder, as a long sweater or a dress! The ribbed style comes in multiple colors (black, grey, cream, teal and burgundy) and is a cashmere blend making it oh so soft. You can dress it up for a night out or dress it down with some leggings or cozy sweats. I am going to get a lot of wear out of it this season because I can wear it in so many ways.
