Winter in Canada tends to be long, from October until April we can have snow in Alberta! Over the years we’ve embraced winter (thanks to our kids) and now spend more and more time outdoors with them. From walking the dog to spending time at the ski hill, we are always outside for something! Our Alberta weather also tends to be all over the map, we started November with bitterly cold temps and by mid month it was plus 10! You can imagine the mess this creates outside which is one of the reasons we love Bogs so much!
Bogs boots are great because they are multipurpose, taking you from rain to snow when you just don’t know what to expect outside! I also love that they are fashionable and are a brand that works for everyone in our family. This is the first year Logan doesn’t fit kids shoes anymore so it’s been great to be able to still get him the Bogs brand with the mens footwear they offer.
Bogs Boots
I love the style of ankle boots all year round, so my choice this season was the Sweetpea Boots. They work well for my everyday life of running to client meetings and picking up the kids at school. Available in 3 colours they are 100% waterproof, have plush lining to keep my feet warm and they have the Bogs Max-Wick which evaporates sweat to keep my feet dry.
I personally love the look of them, they are fantastic for mild winter days and go with pretty much everything! I tested them out and found they kept my feet warm while the temps were around 0 degrees. You can wear them with ankle socks or slouchy socks to change up the look!
Denny has never found a winter boot he loves until now! He picked out the Bogs Freedom Trail Mens Casual Boots for everyday wear and comfort. They are 100% waterproof and rated to -30 degree temps which means he will finally have warm feet this winter! He tends to wear runners all winter long so I’m happy he finally found a boot to wear. They have the BioGrip slip-resistant outsole for winter conditions and DuraFresh natural bio-technology that activates to fight odours.
The Freedom Trail boots are multipurpose and will be great for running errands, coaching hockey or heading to the ski hill with the kids!
Logan is at an age right now that he does not want to wear big winter boots. Runners just don’t cut it at school because he ends up coming home with them wet and covered in mud! I was happy to find an option with Bogs and ordered him the Overcast Chelsea Rain Boot for men. They are great for the muddy playground in milder temps and are easy to keep clean with a quick wipe if needed. These rain boots are 100% waterproof and have DuraFresh bio-technology that activates to fight unwanted odours. The style keeps him cool in grade 6 as well.
Quinn is always right in the snow, whether at the ski hill or playing at school. We needed boots for Quinn that would keep her feet warm and dry for her active play in the winter. The Arcata Knit Kids Snow Boots are available in 3 colours and are just perfect for her this winter! They are comfort rated for up to -40 degree temps, 100% waterproof and just so cute! They are also lined with Bogs Max-Wick to keep feet dry. She definitely won’t be complaining about cold toes this season thanks to Bogs!
Hi Ashley. Just wondering if you know of any stores in Edmonton that carry the Sweet pea women’s shoe you have. I was hoping to try it on but when I look online I can’t find anyone that seems to have it in stock in Edmonton.
Thanks!
Hi Amy
I’m not 100% sure who would have them in Edmonton, I think the best bet would be Soft Moc? Have you tried ordering from the Bogs site directly? They have a 10% off pop up window!
I need those blue pillows for our bedroom! They are gorgeous. Where did you find them?
Oh my goodness the cutest boots and photos
Love this
I could really use a bedroom makeover
Would love a pair but they are out of price range, they are cute and look comfy. Would love a furniture makeover too.
I must agree with you on the Bogs!! They are stylish, comfortable and protect your feet from feeling damp and cold!!
